Mrs Violet Kwan, 98, started baking the beloved chocolate fudge cakes in 1964. Her sister-in-law Lani, who was in Singapore on a visit from Hawaii where she lived, baked and gave her friends delightful chiffon cakes which she had learned while working in a bakery. Mrs Kwan continued to bake from her home in Hillcrest Park and the cake shop was subsequently set up in 1975 in it’s current location at Greenwood Avenue. Lana Cake Shop was named after Lani.
Today, Lana Cakes remains a family-owned and operated business. It is committed to quality and taste only the home-baked cakes can bring to its customers. Mrs Kwan’s legacy is carried on by her son and her legendary cakes will live on for the generations of Singaporeans who love them .

Online Order Pick Up & Island Wide Delivery
Our online order work flow is available for ISLAND-WIDE DELIVERY service and IN-STORE PICKUP. There is a 72 hour advance booking requirement. For orders within 72 hours to be collected at Lana Cakes, please call us @ +65 64665315. You may also email us at contact@lanacakes-since1964.com if you have any queries. For other cakes, please call us @64665315 to order/enquire, or refer to our website for more information. Our island-wide delivery is outsourced: direct door-to-door service via airconditioned cars to ensure that cake is delivered timely, and in the best condition. The cost of delivery is charged to customers without mark-up. Island-wide delivery charge is normally $21.40 (incl GST). For festive seasons, there may be a additional charge by the delivery partners due to the increased demand of delivery services. Delivery service is only available from Tuesday to Saturday. Limited number of deliveries is available for each time slot. Note: (*) Delivery to certain Restricted Zones may incur additional $15 surcharge (on top of current delivery fee). Restricted zones include army camps, airbases, Resort World Sentosa and Universal Studios, and Government buildings with security control access. For orders to restricted areas, our customer representative will contact you to make the additional charges. Delivery service is only available from Tuesday to Saturday.
